Hi Gyldhunters, as Season 1 draws to a close, the full breakdown of the Season 1 reset rules and the reward exchange shop are now live in the game. The page will appear on your season page at October 22, 2026 10:00 AM. In today's update, we'd like to share our design philosophy with you:

Our Design Philosophy

As an extraction game, the design of our loot economy is deeply intertwined with the core match experience. Without a seasonal reset mechanism, player stashes would quickly overflow with stockpiled gear, which severely diminishes the thrill of discovering high-value items during a match. To counteract that without a reset, we would be forced to tighten overall drop rates or even artificially lower extraction rates in Chaos or Cataclysm Mode—actions that directly violate our two core design principles: providing everyone with an exhilarating looting and progression experience, and avoiding excessively high extraction barriers. Furthermore, we want to use the seasonal reset as an opportunity to place all Gyldhunters on a relatively level playing field at the start of the new season, ensuring the long-term health and sustainability of the game. After analyzing seasonal operation models across competing titles and engaging in extensive internal deliberations, we ultimately finalized our current partial reset with progressive returns seasonal reset framework.

Seasonal Asset Reset & Returns

That said, we absolutely do not want our Gyldhunters' hard work and investment in Season 1 to be completely wiped out. Because of this, we designed a system where your Season 1 game progression translates directly into tokens for the Fateweaver Shop. Once Season 2 goes live, you can spend these tokens to redeem critical resources such as Pip's Rare Pouches, Unbound Holy Collectibles (Selection Chest), Holy Soulcatch Nets, and Combat Bags. You can also pick up exclusive Season 1 commemorative cosmetic rewards Gyldjar "Mistchaser's Messenger Bug Jar" and Medal "Proof of the Soul Hunt" to honor the glorious deeds achieved during your hunt. The Fateweaver Shop tokens are converted using a tiered system, where the exchange rate progressively diminishes across higher brackets. As a result, the token disparity across the entire player base is compressed, bringing everyone back to a similar starting line for the new season. However, the higher your Contribution, the more tokens you will receive, guaranteeing that every single asset accumulated during Season 1 yields a fair return.

Camp Building Reset

Buildings such as the Goddess Statue, Gylden Pool, Tavern, Workshop, Scavenger Squad, and Soulcatch Tree are closely tied to seasonal resource production, material acquisition, and the overall pace of progression. If their levels were completely retained, the early progression phase of the new season would be bypassed entirely, causing resource output and market prices to lose their balance at the very start of the season. Therefore, these buildings will have their levels reset, and players will receive Fateweaver Shop tokens based on their current building levels. However, we don't want the seasonal reset to result in a repetitive gameplay grind. For this reason, if you've already consumed rare materials such as Stardust Blooms, Faded Divine Tree Hearts, Messenger Bug Jars, or Celestigold for upgrades, you will not need to consume them again when re-upgrading those corresponding buildings in the new season.

Path of Glory Tiers

Starting everyone from the exact same baseline would erase the time investment and competitive performance players dedicated to the previous season. Conversely, completely retaining tiers would leave no room for fresh competition or tier calibration in the new season. To address this, your starting tier for Season 2 will be inherited based on your final standing in Season 1, with a moderate tier compression applied to higher tiers. Lower tiers will generally maintain their original progress, while higher tiers will scale back to a shared starting baseline. This approach preserves your proof of skill from the previous season while breathing fresh competitive life back into the Path of Glory journey.

  • Contract Sigils will be converted 1-to-1 into Faded Contract Sigils. Season 2 will introduce a new season-exclusive contract; however, as long as there are still unredeemed rewards in the Slumbering Contract, that contract will be permanently retained. • Partial Camp Building Level Reset:

The Goddess Statue, Gylden Pool, Tavern, Workshop, Scavenger Squad, and Soulcatch Tree will have their level reset, returning a corresponding amount of Contribution based on their current level. In Season 2, the Soulcatch Tree will transform into a completely new form; Gyldhunters will need to collect brand-new materials to upgrade it, though the Soulcatch Nets and their core functionality will remain unchanged.

  • Contribution:

Contribution will be converted into Gyldenblod Leaves for use in the Fateweaver Shop, allowing you to redeem various vital resources to secure a head start in the new season.

  • Path of Glory Tier Reset:

Your starting tier for Season 2 will be determined based on your final standing on the Path of Glory in Season 1.As a special reminder: While Warehouse building upgrades will be retained, the actual items inside your Inventory and Warehouse will undergo conversion settlement. Unused Pip's Rare Pouch Vouchers stored in your Warehouse will also be reset according to the rules.

A Final Note

We spent a great deal of time deliberating and debating whether to reset certain assets. Due to the challenges mentioned earlier, balancing these design choices was no easy feat. However, we firmly believe that this current "partial reset with progressive returns" framework ensures that the time and passion you invested in Season 1 will carry forward as meaningful returns in Season 2. We are confident that this approach will cultivate a healthier, long-term lifecycle for the game, allowing us to keep delivering a fun experience for everyone! Additionally, throughout Season 1, we received an abundance of feedback stating that loot drops felt underwhelming and boss rewards were not satisfying enough. Upon review and discussion, we agree that our current drop rates were far too conservative, falling short of providing the exhilarating looting and progression experience we want to deliver. Therefore, in Season 2, we'll increase overall asset drop rates across the board: adding more loot containers to all maps while boosting the probability of high-value items dropping from both containers and monsters.
