Ghosts of Reykjavik

For studios and publishers

Send us the game.
We build the library.

Most channels give your game one video. This one gives it a guide for every place a player can get stuck, published while they are still playing it.

704M
lifetime views

Across everything the channel has published. Most of it on Shorts.

193,000
subscribers

Built on a Shorts format that has repeatedly gone past a million views.

503
hours of guide footage

Indexed and searchable, game by game.

391
uploads in the last 90 days

Roughly four a day, sustained.

On the view count, before you ask

704 million is the lifetime figure from our own analytics, across everything the channel has published. The public API reports a much smaller number because it counts only what is public today, and a large part of the Shorts catalogue has since been made private. Both describe the same channel; one of them just cannot see the back catalogue.

What you get

01

Full guide coverage, not one video

A game gets a library. Collectible sweeps zone by zone, boss routes, puzzle solutions, trophy paths, one video per thing a player can get stuck on. Crimson Desert has 269 guides here. Elden Ring has 366. That is the shape of the coverage a studio gets.

02

Live inside launch week

Guides go up while players are still in the game, which is the only window where a guide changes anyone's experience. Recent launches have had zone routes published within days of release.

03

Discovery Shorts

Vertical shorts built to introduce a game to people who have never heard of it: one calm voiceover, your footage, the hook first and the name last. This is the format that carries the channel's reach.

04

Verified from the game files

We can read a shipped build's own archives and confirm what is actually in it: exact collectible counts, full item rosters, display names against internal names. Used to make coverage accurate rather than to spoil anything unannounced.

How it runs

  1. 1

    Send us an invitation

A key, a press build, or just a note about the game and its date. Nothing formal is needed.

  2. 2

    We take a look

We read every one. What decides it is whether the game fits what this channel covers and whether the schedule has room for it, rather than any judgement on the game itself.

  3. 3

    We get in touch

You hear back either way. If we can cover it properly, we say so and get started. If we cannot, we say that too, so you are never left waiting on a maybe.

If we pass, it is about us rather than your game

We have real respect for every studio and every solo developer who sends us something, and we know what it costs to make any of it. Whether we cover a game comes down to two dull things: whether it fits what this channel is built around, and whether the schedule has room. A guide library is weeks of work, so taking on more than we can finish would waste your time and cost us the trust the guides run on. So a no from us is a scheduling answer, never a verdict on your game, and you will always get a straight one rather than silence.

Where we stand

  • Invited into the Tides of Annihilation creator programme by Eclipse Glow Games at Gamescom, including a hands-on session and clearance to use their trailer and B-roll footage.

  • Invited by the Where Winds Meet team at Gamescom.

  • Sent the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II collector's book and window cover as a gift from the studio.

  • Every sponsored or gifted piece is disclosed on the video, in the description and on this site.

  • We will tell you before publishing if coverage turns critical. You get a heads up, and we still publish.

Questions we get

Do you only cover games you are paid for?
No. Most coverage on this channel is unpaid and always has been. A sponsorship changes the scale and the timing of coverage, and it never changes what we say about the game.
What do you need from us?
A build and a launch date is enough to start. A press kit, a feature list and a note on what is spoiler-sensitive makes the coverage better.
Can you work under embargo?
Yes. Tell us the lift time and nothing publishes before it.
Do you cover small indie games?
Yes, and the discovery Shorts format exists specifically for games nobody has heard of yet.

Tell us what you are launching.

A key and a date is enough to start. We will come back with a written coverage plan.
