Hellraiser Revival: every lock, key and puzzle, indexed by name

Every locked door, cabinet, locker and puzzle in Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival, listed by the name you are looking at when you get stuck: the skull lock and its tongue key, the M359 door, the painting gallery cabinet, the graveyard cabin locker, the gate to Charlotte, both Chatterer escapes and both labyrinth runs.

Hellraiser Revival locks almost everything. Cabinets, lockers, a gate, a door with a number on it, and a skull with pins in it that holds the key to a door made of mouth. None of them are labelled on a map, and most people hit at least one and stop.

This page is the index. Every lock, key and puzzle we have filmed, listed by the name you are actually looking at when you get stuck, with the part of the game it belongs to. Find the one in front of you and go straight to it.

The locks and the keys

What you are stuck on Where it is
The room that loops back on itself The intro, before the game opens up
Skull lock, and the tongue key inside it Bruno's studio
The M359 locked door Reached after the studio
The basement cabinet Basement
The painting gallery cabinet Painting gallery
The graveyard cabin locker Graveyard cabin
The gate to Charlotte Before the Charlotte sequence
The secret passage Hidden, nothing signposts it

The skull is the one that stops people. It sits in Bruno's studio covered in metal pins, and the key is inside its jaw rather than anywhere in the room. Until it opens, the mouth door stays shut and the route forward does not exist.

The escapes

Three things in this game chase you, and two of them come back a second time with the first solution no longer working.

Escape Note
The Chatterer, first time
The Chatterer, second time The first escape does not repeat
Charlotte Separate from the gate that gets you to her
The labyrinth, second time The first run through it is not the same route

Treat the second encounters as new puzzles. That is the part people get caught by: they reach the Chatterer again, do what worked before, and die to it.

Things you walk past

Pickup Where
First health upgrade In the labyrinth
Leviathan artifact
S&M duckie Found alongside the Leviathan artifact

The first health upgrade is in the labyrinth, which is also the place people are least inclined to explore, so it is the single most commonly missed thing in the early game.

What this page does not do

Every entry above is a thing we have filmed solving. The guide for each one is on the game's page, and the video shows the actual route and the actual sequence rather than a description of it. Use this index to find which one you need.
