007 First Light is chaptered, linear, and quietly unforgiving about collectibles. Each chapter has its own count, the game tells you the number when you finish, and by then you are somewhere else.

We filmed a full sweep for every chapter. This page lists them by their real names, because the chapter names are what the game shows you and what you will search for.

Sixteen of the seventeen have their own route. Chapter 2 does not, and saying so is better than pretending otherwise.

Chapter 1 has two videos and that is deliberate

Against the Odds has a full walkthrough and a separate route for its four collectibles. Use the four-collectible version if you are cleaning up and the walkthrough if it is your first time, because the walkthrough carries the context and the shorter one carries only the pickups.

Four is also the number to remember. Chapter 1 has exactly 4, which is the one chapter count the game makes easy to confirm.

Chapter 8 is where people get stuck, twice

All the Time in the World has two separate problems that have nothing to do with collecting.

  1. Getting into the hotel. There is a way in that the game does not signal and that most players brute force for a while. It has its own guide.
  2. The dining room fireplace puzzle. A solution puzzle rather than a search, and it stops the chapter dead until it is solved.

Deal with both before you start sweeping the chapter. Hunting collectibles in a chapter you cannot progress is a bad use of an evening.

What closes behind you

Chapters in this game move forward. Once the story leaves a location it does not return to it in a state you can search, so treat every chapter as its own final sweep. There is no open world to come back through and no fast travel to a chapter you have finished.

That makes the practical rule simple: finish the collectibles before you trigger the ending of a chapter. The game usually makes the point of no return obvious, a door you clearly cannot walk back through, and that door is your deadline.

The order that costs the least

  1. Play the chapter through once, without looking, and enjoy it. This is a Bond game and hunting pickups on a first pass wastes what it is good at.
  2. Before the last objective of the chapter, stop.
  3. Run the chapter's route from this list.
  4. Then finish the chapter and move on.

That way you get the story at full speed and the collectibles without a second playthrough. It works because the routes are per chapter, which is the whole reason they were filmed that way.
